Kia ora koutou,

It was a big relief to hear we are moving back to Alert Level 2 from Monday 31st August. We look forward to welcoming your children back onsite. Our health and safety plan is in place, and we’ll continue doing everything we can to keep your children safe.

Our Alert Level 2 plan includes:

· Reminding everyone to wash their hands and using sanitiser

· Coughing and sneezing into our elbow

· Staying away if sick

· Keeping our distance from others (in class this means no touching each other and keeping out of breathing distance)

· Cleaning and disinfecting our high touch surfaces daily

· Displaying QR code posters at our entrances

· Keeping a visitor register for anyone who cannot use the app.

· Wearing masks on public transport from next Monday, at Alert Level 2 and above. Your child does not need to wear a face covering while at school. We will of course support them should they choose to do so.

· Having the school cleaned before children start back.

Please help us by only coming into the school if necessary, keeping a 2m distance and either using the Covid app or signing in at the office. If you haven’t already downloaded the NZ COVID Tracer app, we can help you or you can go to the Ministry of Health’s website.

Thank you everyone - parents and caregivers-  for your support. Let’s help each other to stay safe as we move through Level 2 and back to Level 1.

For those of you who might be finding things more difficult than usual, a reminder that there is a large range of support available. Do not feel embarrassed about talking to our staff about help you might need – we will do what we can to find the help you need. You can also go to covid19.govt.nz for more information.

See you on Monday!

PS We have a surprise for children in our playground – not quite finished but we hope it will be next week.
