Dear parents, whanau and caregivers,

It’s very disappointing to get this news again but it is what we need to do to keep everyone safe and help stop this virus from spreading.

The school will be open only for children of essential workers. In order to ensure the safety of those children and our staff who do come to school, we will be operating with strict enforcement of health and safety measures.

For everyone else, please stay home and do not come into the school grounds or classrooms. If you need to pass a message to the teacher or at the office, please ring the school office on (09) 2754699, or email [email protected]

At the moment we are only in lockdown for this week only– Monday 1st to Friday 5th March.  This may change and if it does, I will let you know.

*    Parent- teacher-student conferences – I have asked our teachers to contact you this week and ask about your child’s learning. If they have managed to have a chat with you, we will not set up parent conferences again this term. If you need to have a face-to-face chat – please make a time with your child’s teacher when we are back in Level 2.

             Teachers will ask you

·       What is going well with your child’s learning?

·       What are you concerned about?

·       What is your wish for your child’s learning?

*    No Teacher only day on Friday

*    Home learning packs

We hope you are able to get online and your child can keep learning through Seesaw. We will be making up packs of learning again on Monday and we will be starting to hand these out from Tuesday. You will be able to come to the staff room to collect a pack between 9.30am and 11 am. Please stay 2m distant from other parents. Thank you.

We will let you know about other scheduled events when we have more information. In the meantime, stay home and stay safe.
